Top Ten Tuesday: New-To-Me Authors I Read in 2016

It's easy to get stuck reading the same authors over and over, especially if you find someone you really like. Same thing goes for genres. But if you read only romance, you might miss out on a great love story in a fantasy novel. If you read only James Patterson or Cassandra Clare, you might miss out on novelists that you'd like even better! So get out there and try something new! Here are ten "new-to-me" authors I've read this year!

1) Jennifer Niven, author of All the Bright Places (review), Holding up the Universe, and more

2) Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, authors of Illuminae (review) together and many books separately

3) Cindy Antsey, author of Love Lies and Spies (review coming soon) and soon Duels & Deception

4) Alison Goodman, author of The Dark Days Club (review) and the Eon series

5) Sabaa Tahir, author of An Ember in the Ashes series (review)

6) Alexandra Bracken, author of The Darkest Minds series (review) and the Passenger series

7) Ruta Sepetys, author of Out of the Easy (review), Between Shades of Gray, and Salt to the Sea

8) Brittany Cavallaro, author of A Study in Charlotte (review)

9) Robin Benway, author of Emmy & Oliver (review), Audrey, Wait!, and more

10) Barry Lyga, author of I Hunt Killers (review), Boy Toy, and more
